The Role of Adult Leaders
At Tay House Troop 19, our dedicated team of adult volunteers serves as the backbone of our scout-led program. While empowering our youth leaders to take the lead, our experienced Scoutmasters and committee members provide crucial mentorship, guidance, and administrative oversight. Our Scoutmasters are experienced leaders who are deeply committed to the mission of Scouting and the success of our troop. Many are former Tay House Scouts themselves, including Eagle Scouts, demonstrating a long-standing dedication to our values and traditions. They work closely with our youth leaders, providing training, support, and ensuring adherence to Boy Scouts of America guidelines. Their experience is invaluable in helping our scouts develop leadership skills and navigate their scouting journey.
Behind the scenes, our Troop Committee plays a vital role in the smooth operation of Tay House 19. This dedicated group of volunteers handles the administrative needs of the troop, including finances, membership, fundraising support, advancement tracking, and communication. Their tireless efforts ensure that our Scoutmasters can focus on working directly with the scouts and delivering a high-quality program.
